Liquid Biofuels

Trading Mainly Second-Generation Biodiesel from Waste Veg. Oils and Fats.

As an ISCC certified Marketer, we offer a constant and reliable supply of liquids biofuels to fleet operators, fuel retailers, petroleum distributors and biodiesel traders across the World.

Biodiesel & Bioethanol

Iberia Bioenergy trades mainly second-generation biodiesel, manufactured from waste oils and fats and in accordance with the European standard EN14214. Depending on customer requirements some parameters can be varied like CFPP, Oxidation Stability or Water Content.

Our Biodiesel can be eligible for double counting in Germany, the Netherlands, UK and Italy.

  • Double Counting UE
    • UCOME
    • TME
  • Standard UE Biodiesel
    • FAME 0ºC

Produced from renewable resources, bioethanol is a clean-burning fuel that is also a good octane booster. Bioethanol is mostly used in combination with gasoline in low blends, of up to 25% ethanol. High blends, usually at 85% ethanol (E85) are increasingly being used in flexi-fuel vehicles (or FFV’s), which can run with any ethanol and gasoline blend

Our ethanol complies with the official fuel EN 15376 : 2014 specifications:

  •  Hydrous ethanol (93.1% pure fuel used as fuel for certain light vehicles).
  • Anhydrous ethanol (99.3% pure fuel, blended with regular gasoline).

Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil

HVO is a type of fuel oil with superior properties in terms of density. It contains no sulphur and has a high cetane index which improves combustion quality and vehicle performance as well as producing less noise and emissions. The environmental impact is low because it does not emit sulphur dioxide. It does not require its own production unit because the vegetable oil used to produce this high performance ecological fuel is added to the fuel oil in the units in the refinery where sulphur is removed from fuel. This leads to further savings and energy efficiency.

Our HVO is waste-based on UCO or animal, which increases GHG emission savings of the final HVO fuels which, in turn, improves its competitiveness

Sub-Products of Biofuel industry

  • Crude Glycerin is a byproduct of the biodiesel process. Ussually refined to around 80% glycerin purity which is called technical grade. The glycerin is suitable for technical application.
  • Bio-Heating oil. Residue of biodiesel distillation. It can be used in the co-generation sector.
  • DDGS (Dried Distillers Grains with Solubles) is a co-product of the bioethanol process. It is sold to the feed industry (dairy and beef cattle, pigs, and poultry) in flour or pellets. From corn, wheat, wet distillers grains, condensed distillers solubles, distillers grains with solubles.
