Biofuel Sustainability

Knowing the Origin of our product is a basic requirement. Iberia Bioenergy ensures the sustainability of its renewable biofuels and feedstocks along the entire supply chain. We put our commitment into action through participation in several certification schemes.

In an ever-changing scenario and in circumstances that require quick and effective action to protect the environment, at Iberia Bioenergy we strive to keep up, advocating for the development of a circular economy and the sustainable development of our society.

We work rigorously in compliance with the current international legislative frameworks and in line with solid sustainability schemes to offer the best services while maintaining a transparent and sustainable chain of custody.

Our commitment is materialized in strict compliance of international and independent sustainability certifications as well as national regulations.

  • ISCC EU is a certification system to demonstrate compliance with the legal sustainability requirements specified in the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) of the European Commission and the Fuel Quality Directive (FQD)
  • At Iberia Bioenergy, we pay close attention to the national markets and their regulations and we are able to provide services and commodities in compliance with the standards of the Italian National Scheme, Nabisy, RFS, Corsia  and LCFS among others.

These Certifications contribute to the implementation of environmentally, socially and economically sustainable production and use of waste, residues, biomass, and final products in global supply chains.

Identifying and engaging with good partners is crucial to ensure a sustainable supply chain because sustainability begins long before any deals have been closed, or any drop of feedstock or biofuel are delivered.

Our worldwide presence, experience and practices allow us to guarantee sustainability from origin along the whole supply chain.
